ALL FOR GOOD LUCK TO YOU



Day to day (Practical) Shakunas :-
1) When moving Furniture if some falls off, then expect some loss or sickness in the family.
2) If the palm of the right hand itches, then expect to receive some money.
3) When putting on shoes, put the right one first, otherwise the day will not be favorable if you put the left one first.
4) When walking anywhere it is considered to be very unlucky if you pass under a ladder.
5) To sneeze in the morning means some misfortune is at hand, but when afternoon comes, luck will also come.
6) If you sing when making rotis, you are going to cry before you eat the same. (Of course you can sing Bhajans, and Crying means some unpleasant happening or argument is going to soon take place)
7) If You drop a letter to the ground after it is sealed (Stuck with Gum or the envelope closed with Self-on tape), then whatever request it contains, would be denied.
8) Do Not destroy spiders in the House. Its Unlucky.
9) When leaving for somewhere, if You are called back, then its unlucky. Sit for a while, before you leave again (Apne logon mein kahte hain na, peeth peeche bulaate nahin jab koi ghar se nikal raha hai toh aawaj dena nahin use).
10) It is Unlucky to brush or comb the hair after Sunset.

Day to day (Practical) 'Shakunas' (Omens)  :-
1) Never stay long in a house which you are visiting, where you you see the Wall Clock showing a wrong time.
2) If You clean your house on Sunday, then hard work and small pay will be the result in the rest of the week.
3) It is considered to be unlucky to open and raise an umbrella in the house (And we do this every rainy season like fools).
4) It is considered to be unfortunate to sweep the house when you are leaving (In india when we go out of station, on that day after we leave our mothers do not allow the Jhaadu katka waali to sweep the rooms).
5) If you loose your door key when away from home, it signifies that you are wanted there.
6) If a Glass falls in your presence and does not break, a journey or some pleasant surprise awaits you.
7) If you drop a comb, some disappointment may be yours; But if you step upon it before picking it up, it will prevent the misfortunes.
8) It is unlucky to rise from a table and light a lamp, Gas or candle for the purpose of finishing the meal (Many housewife's rise between the meal to Heat a Papad or heat something which is not right.)
9) If you forget to lock the door at night, you will hear of a death that concerns you.
10) To hang a garment on the door knob is bad luck.
